To Client Facilities:

Aculabs in the past has advised facilities to use Starplex’s Dip N Count urine test and specimen collection device when ordering a urine culture to be performed.

As of March 2019, Aculabs will no longer be supplying Dip N Count devices to facilities for collecting a urine specimen.

In our specimen handling resource guides, we advise facilities in cases where a Dip N Count device is not available to use a sterile container for the collection, handling, and transport of a urine sample instead. If your facility finds that you have a urine specimen to be tested, please use a sterile container, as displayed, for the collection of all urine.

Please be aware: Sterile containers do not expire. The date listed on Starplex’s sterile containers is a manufacturing date and not an expiration date. Please do not throw away usable sterile containers on the belief that they’ve expired.

If you have any questions, please contact your Customer Service Representative.
