If you notice that an ABN form is automatically printing with each order, this is intentional based on your account setup. The purpose of the ABN is to shift financial responsibility to the patient in situations where services may not be covered by having the patient sign the ABN form before the completion of laboratory testing.
Your account is configured this way because Aculabs was previously instructed to bill patients directly when appropriate, which requires a signed ABN. If you prefer not to follow this process, you may simply disregard the ABN form and discard it. Please let our customer service team know if you would like us to adjust your account settings.
