In reviewing our turnaround times for our various COVID-19 testing options, it recently came to our team’s attention that some client facilities are not inputting in the proper Collection Date and Time.

The collection date and time are taken from the COLLECTION DATE and COLLECTION TIME fields from the web portal when placing an order. It is important to make sure that the Date and Time are recorded as accurately as possible to ensure ongoing compliance on both the facility and Aculabs’ end in reporting information regarding COVID-19.  Since the laboratory has no method for validating this information, the information entered for both COLLECTION DATE and COLLECTION TIME inputs exactly as the user enters them.

If the collection is being done at a future date and time, it is important to make sure that the COLLECTION DATE and COLLECTION TIME are NOT entered as “Today” – the option of which defaults to today’s date and time.  Since collection date and time are important elements used in the calculation of the lapse time, please make sure that the correct info is always used.

If you have any questions, please contact your Customer Service Representative, email customerservice@aculabs.com, or refer to the Aculabs Video Training Guide – “How To Place an Order” below:
