During the week of Monday, May 10th, 2021, Aculabs was happy to open our doors to be inspected for continued accreditation by representatives from The College of American Pathologists.
The College of American Pathologists describes its accreditation curriculum as follows on its website:
The College of American Pathologists (CAP’s) Laboratory Accreditation Program accredits the entire spectrum of laboratory test disciplines with the most scientifically rigorous customized checklist requirements. The CAP’s peer-based inspector model provides a unique balance of regulatory and educational coaching supported by the most respected worldwide pathology organization.
Aculabs was found by CAP to offer “excellence in [the] laboratory medicine services” that we provide to our community and to be completely deficiency-free. The inspection took place over the course of two days and any issues cited during the inspection were corrected on-site. CAP also presented Aculabs with the below Certificate of Accreditation:
As a clinical laboratory, Aculabs finds maintaining all industry-wide accreditation standards extremely important and works to ensure that we continually deliver excellence through participation in all relevant proficiency testing programs. Our laboratory staff practices continuous in-depth monitoring and maintenance of safe and properly functioning protocols to ensure safety is a top priority.
Aculabs is glad to be able to share this news with all of our client facilities and would like to thank our technical staff for their continued excellence.
